Amherst Aquatic Club is a small business in Oberlin, OH.
We are professional, agile and our goal is to The Amherst Aquatic Club (AAC) is a nonprofit USA swim team that was formed early in 2019 by a group of parents that want to provide a local outlet for their children to nourish their love of swimming.
Our vision is to promote community and sportsmanship while developing champions both in and out of the pool.
Amherst Aquatic Club is actively seeking a head age group coach who is a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our coaching staff! We are a growing program in need of individuals who love swimming and coaching.
We would like experienced swim coaches who are willing to facilitate stroke improvement, positive mindsets, and a fun environment.
Our team is our family, and we would like to add new coaches who will fit with our dynamic.
We ask that applicants provide coaching references and a coaching resumé.
Applicants who are chosen will be asked to do a working interview with our current coaching staff.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement swimming training programs for students of all ages and skill levels
- Provide instruction and guidance on proper swimming techniques and skills
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Ensure the safety of all participants during swimming activities
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a positive team environment
Skills:
- Experience working with students in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Strong behavior management skills to maintain discipline and focus during training sessions
- Knowledge of sports coaching principles and techniques, with a focus on swimming
- Additional experience or certifications in related areas such as judo, physical education, lifeguarding, climbing, cheerleading, martial arts, or other water sports is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and provide feedback to students
- Ability to motivate and inspire swimmers to achieve their swimming goals
- Strong organizational skills to plan training sessions

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
