Position Summary: Provide on-site day-to-day operational leadership, motivation, and direction for the Branch Team.
Process customer teller transactions with the highest level of accuracy; opens new customer relationships; updates accounts and completes maintenance requests.
Ensures compliance with all applicable banking regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures while growing the profitability of the branch through deepening and expanding customer relationships.
Deliver superior quality service in person or by telephone such that client needs are met on a consistent, positive basis.
Encourage the branch staff to meet the sales goals and referral goals for the location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Can discuss lending options for customers.
Can make referrals for mortgage loans, commercial loans, or agricultural loans.
Can discuss consumer loans with customers including quoting rates and options.
Will complete the consumer lending process for customers from start of the application to the closing documents.
Supervising Administrative Operations: Overseeing day-to-day administrative activities and ensuring smooth operations within the office.
Staff Management: Managing and coordinating the work of office staff, including assigning tasks, setting schedules, and conducting performance evaluations.
Budgeting and Expense Control: Participating in budget planning and monitoring expenses related to office supplies, equipment, and services.
Facilities Management: Coordinating maintenance and repairs for the office premises, including managing relationships with external service providers.
Records Management: Ensuring proper maintenance and organization of important documents, files, and records, including customer information and employee records.
Compliance and Regulations: Adhering to and ensuring compliance with relevant banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
Security and Risk Management: Collaborating with security personnel to maintain a secure environment, implementing safety protocols, and managing potential risks.
Vendor Management: Managing relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Office Supplies and Inventory: Procuring and maintaining an adequate inventory of office supplies, equipment, and stationary.
Communication and Correspondence: Facilitating effective communication within the office and handling internal and external correspondence.
Staff Training and Development: Identifying training needs, coordinating training programs, and promoting professional development opportunities for office staff.
Meeting and Event Coordination: Organizing and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events, including managing logistics and arranging necessary resources.
Customer Service: Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided by the office staff and addressing any customer complaints or concerns.
Technology and Systems: Collaborating with IT teams to maintain and upgrade office systems, software, and hardware as needed.
Policy Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of office policies, procedures, and best practices.
Organizes annual Community Appreciation Days.
Takes an active lead in becoming involved in the community and encourages their staff to participate in events.
Interacts with the FED regarding the purchase and sale of currency.
Is certified and trained regarding Medallions.
Complies with all audit/ security policies/procedures.
Completes all assigned training by the deadline.
Regular and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes No Work Experience Qualifications: 3 years’ experience in a customer service/customer relationship position preferred.
Requires excellent interpersonal/communication skills to anticipate customer needs and regularly motivates others to deliver customer service excellence.
Ability to deliver timely problem resolution, provide follow-up and involve next level of management as indicated.
Education Requirements: College Degree plus 5+ years of banking/financial services/ retail / restaurant experience preferred: Experience in the sales process and leading high producing sales teams.
Ability to accurately document production and goal attainment.
Prior experience originating consumer and mortgage loans.
Licensing or Certification Requirements: Notary required.
Required to obtain registration with NMLS Work Environment / Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
