Position Overview
The Team Lead is tasked with performing the daily operational practices of running the car wash facility and providing excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizing shift schedules for team members
Monitoring attendance, tardiness and time off
Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills
Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary
Managing employees’ requests and transgressions
Training new and current team members on tasks
Handling customer issues and managing conflicts
Adhering to company policies and health, safety and employment standards
Balancing cash drawers and preparing cash deposits
Additional Tasks:
Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services to them; take and process wash payments to the satisfaction of customers and car wash
Perform cleaning of facility and ensure everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized (water hoses, nozzles, brushes, soap buckets, broom, hand tools, pressure washer, and grease gun)
Provide assistance to customers in any area concerning car wash process
Move or direct cars into the express wash tunnel with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude
Points to directional sign; neutral, no-brake, no steering while watching the customer to ensure directions are followed.
Smiles at customer and does thumbs up after guest is in neutral with no brakes
Carry out visual inspection of vehicles to confirm their condition before sending them into the wash area
Ensure company policies and safety procedures are adhered to in carrying out given tasks daily
Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and hoses properly hung
With a sense of urgency, ensure the right thing is done at the right time with customers, home office, and fellow teammates.
Qualifications:
Ability to display courteous and professional attitude
Excellent customer service skills to ensure optimum customer satisfaction
Strong ability to work flexible hours, such as evenings and weekends
Ability to work standing over long periods of time
Ability to lift items of moderate weight
Ability to work outdoor and be efficient in all weather conditions
Ability to interact ethically with fellow employees and customers
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
Strong ability to handle the physical demand of the job
Ability to follow directions and correctly implement tasks.
Car wash locations can create wet hazardous conditions and safety precautions should be met for safety and compliance
