ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assigns and supervises work tasks of staff working in all program areas of Crisis Services (Hotline, Mobile Outreach, and Stabilization Unit).
Provides 1-1 and group supervision to supervisees on shift.
Provides direct services to clients in all program areas as needed.
Ensures that Crisis Services is responsive and sensitive to community requests for service 24 hours per day.
Ensures that the clinical practice of staff assigned to the unit provide a balance between safety and least restrictive alternative in a residential environment (e.
g.
that clients are self-medicating; acute clients are hospitalized, etc.
) Keeps staff informed of all policy changes and new program expectations.
Participates in supervisory/management meetings.
Works on-call as supervisory back-up as assigned.
Consults and works with the Director regarding clinical issues and administrative risk management issues Uses the Trauma Informed Care approach to work collaboratively with clients and other team members (internal and external) to help support clients in their treatment and recovery.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling is required.
Must be licensed in the State of Ohio as an LISW, LPCC, or IMFT.
A minimum of three years' experience in a mental health field and crisis intervention are preferred.
Some supervisory experience is required.
Must have a good working knowledge of the DSM V, mental health assessments, crisis intervention techniques, substance abuse disorders, and psychotropic medications.
Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to resolve conflict.
Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
The necessity for travel in this job requires that the employee possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with less than 6 points in a 36 month period, have proof of adequate personal automobile insurance, and use of a personal vehicle.
Candidates with educational backgrounds and training in trauma-informed and/or trauma-specific services, a plus.
Education Preferred Masters or better in Counseling Psychology Masters or better in Social Work Licenses & Certifications Preferred LPCC LISW
