The Facilities Manager is responsible for the general upkeep of the physical plant of Common Ground including all buildings, grounds, and facilities.
This is a full-time, year-round,, exempt position that reports directly to the Executive Director with Health, Dental, & vision benefits.
Ability and willingness to assist with facilitating activities such as our: Zipline Canopy Tour, Team Building, Camps, and School-based programming preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
1.
Present self in professional and culturally sensitive manner to co-workers, staff, and the public.
2.
Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of grounds and physical plant.
3.
Coordinate and Supervise volunteer grounds crews.
4.
Coordinate contracts with maintenance and service warranty providers.
5.
Establish and administer annual maintenance and upkeep budget.
6.
General landscaping
7.
Responsible for the proper storage, care, and maintenance of all power equipment
8.
Ensures the safety of all staff and visitors while fulfilling essential functions.
9.
Prepares for, ignites, and assures proper extinguishing of all campfires.
10.
Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to job duties.
11.
Performs other duties as assigned.
(Assist with program support/facilitation as needed and schedule permits).
INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS
May encounter hostile or irate applicants/clients or individuals; may have some exposure to individuals with contagious or communicable disease; is occasionally exposed to unsanitary conditions (insect infestation, bodily wastes), noise, and odors; is exposed to common chemicals found in an office environment, such as toner and correction fluid.
QUALIFICATIONS (Coursework, training, work experience, or equivalent combination)
Completion of secondary education plus five (5) years of general maintenance experience, which includes administrative responsibilities.
