It consists of a public high school for students in grades 9-12 and the Adult Career Center which offers training and educational opportunities for adults.
STARTING DATE: August 2024 POSITION SUMMARY: Administrative role responsible for coordination of services for all students with disabilities requiring an IEP or a 504.
The successful candidate will be able to lead a diverse group of stakeholders for student success.
SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Administrative Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education.
REPORTS TO: High School Principal BENEFITS: Hospitalization, dental, vision, prescription, and term life insurance; up to three approved personal leave days per year; sick leave, vacation days, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
WORK WEEK/YEAR: 220 Day Work Year as per Board-adopted calendar MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Earned Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university Valid Ohio Administrative Licensure in Administration, Pupil Personnel Administration, Administrative Specialist or Principal Ability to coordinate services for all students with disabilities requiring an IEP or a 504 Ability to coordinate services in partnership with Associate School Districts served by Lorain County JVSD Knowledge of school law, particularly as it applies to students with disabilities Willingness to work with local business & industry to develop contacts for high quality job training programs for students Able and willing to obtain van driving permit and ability to pass criminal background check Prior experience working as an Intervention Specialist Prior experience supervising students both in and out of the classroom Excellent understanding of career and technical programming Excellent understanding of graduation pathways Proven ability to communicate ideas and directives effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to analyze district data in order to plan for the success of all students Ability to plan and implement professional learning opportunities as needed Ability to present information to individuals, small groups, and large groups in a clear and compelling manner Exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills Proven understanding of current teaching methods and strategies Ability to lead a diverse teacher team effectively Excellent understanding of educational technology and how it can be successfully used to accommodate diverse students Experience working with diverse stakeholders in difficult situations Experience with the budgetary process as it relates to school finance DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Successful experience as a Pupil Services Supervisor Successful experience as a Transition Coordinator Successful experience working with Career-Technical education students Prior experience working with student organizations and activities such as Career-Tech Student Organizations, Special Olympics, Unified Sports, etc.
