Controller
Department: Finance
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the CFO, the Controller will professionally and effectively provide financial leadership and accounting management process with accuracy and timely financial transactions.
The Controller will oversee the financial profitability while ensuring internal controls are in place with the standard accounting compliance and procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBIITIES:
Overall responsibility for the financial management of the company.
Manage A/P and A/R.
Maintain cost accounting system, data integrity and consistency.
Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve costs and systems.
Monitor and track monthly expenditures and capital spending.
Responsible for the overall cash management of the company.
Maintains accounting controls by setting/following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local requirements.
Coordinate weekly and monthly production process and financial aspects of a manufacturing plan.
Responsible for the overall monthly closing process, including, but not limited to reviewing and approving all journal entries and GL reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Complete year-end filing requirements for various accounting needs.
Responsible for the year-end inventory, audit, and bookkeeping.
Ensure data integrity in Inventory System (Great Plains).
Manage and support a team of 1 to 3 employees.
Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area and observes all safety rules and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned in support of overall company objectives.
SKILLS:
Excellent accounting and reporting aptitude
Proficient with computer software systems: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PP, Outlook)
Excellent knowledge of ERP systems.

Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to create reports and analytical tools.
High accuracy when working with details and numbers.
Interpersonal skills (ability to effectively work with all levels from hourly to management).
Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
7 to 10 years of professional accounting experience.
5 to 10 years work experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
Must have a strong Cost systems background, excellent analytical skills.
Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Understanding of good manufacturing, inventory control and logistic processes.
Experience in processing weekly payroll cycles.
Firm understanding of manufacturing production and distribution processes.
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related financial discipline.
