POSITION OVERVIEW:
JOB DUTIES:
Shipping Manifest printed daily by HR Clerk for DCL
Orange cones need set-up on dock by 8am with load numbers
Communicate with Yard Dog driver how many pack-trailers you will need for the day
Loads left from previous day need communicated by email to transportation (Angelica Valdez)
Previous day loads being picked up will need loaded by DCL when driver arrives
Pick up pack from shipping crews and build all loads that you have shipping from your facility/dock
Send Carts and Pallets of loads to the appropriate dock in a timely manner
Communicate with Yard Dog drivers for timely pick-up of pack trailers
Communicate to DCL when a pack trailer is heading their way
Do not wait for a trailer to be full, if you have priority product send to the correct location
The DCL is responsible for offloading all pack trailers and building loads
If your loads have carts you will need to scan out all carts (scan carts while load is being built)
Email shipping team the one-off locations of loads that may not be on your dock because of space
If you have more than one dock email shipping team of where product will be stage with the orange cones i.
e.
(Main orchid dock and mini dock)
Communicate with DCL at other locations if you are missing pack
If you leave for the day before all your loads have been built, then email Shipping team of what you are still waiting for after 1st communicating with DCL’s
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS and education requirements:
Must be at least 18 yrs.
Old
Must have 3 months of nursery/manufacturing experience
Able to work at a fast pace, with long periods of standing and bending or sitting
Adhere to safety policies and procedures]
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
pHYSICAL Environment & Requirements:
Plant/Production facility, occasionally outside, or in-store; Possible extreme heat/cold dependent on season
Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction
Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouching
Occasionally requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing and handling
May require ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck, car, van, tug, forklift) or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipment
CDL license or tug/forklift certification may be required
